Briq's looking back on 2021

From doubling our team to tripling the number of bookings with our multi-activity scheduling software, despite the ongoing corona crisis, 2021 has been an amazing year for Briq.

Together with co-founder Eugene Lubbers we look back with a great feeling of accomplishment. 

Working with a dream team

It’s been incredibly exciting to see how our teams – during the crisis while working online – collaborate, have fun together and are highly motivated to grow Briq. A safe and sustainable environment to work and learn from each other.

Whenever possible, our colleagues have also been meeting up in the Netherlands, Spain, the UK, Macedonia and Italy. And that’s only the beginning… We can’t wait to grow our culture, share more good times together and realize our shared dream of customized experiences for everyone. 

Our efforts were rewarded

Despite the situation the world was in, Briq went for a go-to-market strategy and achieved tangible results. We managed to attract talent beyond our imagination to help build Briq. And as a result, we’ve welcomed many more leisure centers that now benefit from online multi-activity bookings. 

‍On top of that, we’ve been listed in M/T Sprout’s C50 Challenger list, Tech Leap’s list of best 100 Startups and the Innovation Top 100 of the KVK (the Dutch Chamber of Commerce).

Proud of our partners 

We’re proud of how many new leisure businesses and integration partners have teamed up with Briq and we’re even more proud of their feedback.

We’ve received many positive reviews, like the ones on Capterra, which confirm that our product really works – getting our partners more and larger bookings. 

The events and the industry

Telling our story in real life on several large podia, like the IAAPA Expos in Europe and the US, the Tourism Innovation Summit, the Recreatie Vakbeurs and the Family Attraction Expo, emphasized that what we offer is what the market is looking for.

The market is ready for change. How? Through digitization like online booking and scheduling. An accelerated need due to the corona crisis. And even though that’s presented us with great challenges in the short term, we feel that the industry will reap the rewards in the long term.

Visiting these events has underlined that now there’s momentum.

Onwards to 2022 

It’s time for family, friends, personal reflection and a reset in preparation of what’s to come. 

We hope you all take some time off to get ready to go full steam ahead with Briq in 2022. And for everyone in the industry, we wish that the world opens up as soon as possible so that leisure will be at the top of everyone’s minds again.
